Evaluation question 7

While doing the preliminary we were just practising our filming techniques to improve the quality of our final piece and help us be more confident with holding and showing with the camera which i feel helped a lot. As we only filmed in school our preliminary task was very limited so therefore we had to create a story that would fit in with the schools surroundings while when we did our final piece  we could almost film it anywhere so therefore the ideas were endless.

When doing the preliminary task me and my group used a variety of different shots such as a much on action and 180 degree rule. Unfortunately we did not use a try pod to held steady the camera so therefore some of the shots we used were bit shaky. This meant that some of the shots are slightly blurry which took away from what was going on in the scene.

We used a lot of foley effects to try and make it sound as real as possible but it ended out sounding out of place and wrong. as the door did not make the sound that you would have expected from a new door such as this one.

While the two charecters were speaking we edited a shot reverse shot to make it seem as it the conversation was a fluent as possible.

While we did filming for our main film opening we used many different camera shots, the main one being tracking shots as it seemed the best fit as we wanted the opening to seem fast paced as the main character is going for a run.

In the main film we used a match on action from when the main charecte goes down the alley way.

We didn't have any conversations in our film opening so therefore we did not need to use a shot reverse shot or 180degree rule but it was very helpful to know while filming it as we would know how to execute the shot properly if we need to use it.
